With his refreshing brand of piano-driven pop, Australian singer/songwriter Nathan Leigh Jones garnered national attention when he took out the title of 'Artist Of The Year' at the 2004 MusicOz Awards. Since then, "NLJ" has travelled the globe performing, writing and producing music both for himself and others, including the 2010 remake of 'That's What Friends Are For' featuring David Raleigh, Alan Cumming, Billy Porter and Ari Gold.
Now, Nathan Leigh Jones takes centre stage for the launch of his new studio album 'Sooner Or Later', an 11 track record that showcases his rich vocals and strong songwriting ability. Composing, arranging and editing much of the record in both his home studio and Sydney's Studios 301, Nathan sought the assistance of some impressive local and international talent to give the project some 'major label' shine.
'Sooner Or Later' features Florida-based guitarist, songwriter and multi-Grammy award winner Dan Warner (Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna), with drums from US industry legend Lee Levin (Christina Aguilera, Pink, Kelly Clarkson). The track 'Crying Out For Love' includes a 20 piece vocal ensemble made up of members of the Sydney Philharmonia Choir, while Naomi Crellin and Sally Cameron, members of ARIA award-winning vocal quartet The Idea Of North, added their sublime backing harmonies to the song 'Colour Me In'.
Online music magazine 'Department For Sound' described the music of Nathan Leigh Jones this way: "Think piano-driven pop with youthful sensibilities and you’ve made a start in exploring the world that is NLJ. He has the credentials to match and is a winning package." Nathan is also one of Australia's most in-demand voice over artists, appearing regularly on promos for Nova, Nickelodeon and Eleven.
